Cookie Policy
This policy describes how AITOC uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) on aitoc.io. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a site. They can be “first-party” (set by us) or “third-party” (set by a provider we use, e.g. for embedded content). Similar technologies include local storage, which we may use to remember your cookie choices.
2. How we use cookies
We group cookies into:
- Strictly necessary — required for core site functionality (e.g. security, load balancing, remembering your consent preferences). These do not require consent under UK/EU ePrivacy rules, but we list them for transparency.
- Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the site (e.g. traffic, navigation). Only used if you consent.
- Marketing — may be used to measure campaigns or enable social/ad pixels. Only used if you consent.
3. Consent management
When you first visit, we show a cookie banner. You can accept all cookies, or open Customize and turn off optional categories, then Save preferences (same effect as only allowing essential cookies). Your choice is stored in localStorage under the key aitoc_cookie_consent_v1 so we do not repeat the prompt on every visit. You can change your mind by clearing site data or when we provide a renewed preference control.
4. Third-party services
Our site may load scripts from third parties (for example animation libraries from a CDN, or embedded booking widgets). Those providers may set their own cookies or process data according to their policies. We minimise optional third-party processing until you consent where required.
5. Browser controls
You can block or delete cookies via your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect site functionality.
6. Updates
We may update this policy when our use of cookies changes. Check the “Last updated” date above.
